Advocacy Resources for Alabama Libraries: Advocacy

Advocacy Resources

ALISON is a repository of all of Alabama's legislative session information since 2001 This is an important resource for anyone seeking information on the legislative process, historical and current legislation, the status of individual bills, and Alabama representatives and senators.

Note: ALISON will be down from the evening of December 30, 2021 until January 3, 2022, at which time the link will remain the same but the website will have a different appearance and be easier to navigate than the current version. The APLS presentations on ALISON will be updated once the new site premieres.

Contact Local and State Elected Officials

The Alabama Legislature maintains a Capwiz, which makes it easy for constituents to find contact information for elected officials based on address information. Input your address/city OR your ZIP code +4 to find out who represents you in the state house and senate and how to contact them. You can also find information for Alabama's federal elected officials.
