Resources Available When Your Library Is Closed

Many libraries throughout the state are closing due to heightened concerns around COVID-19. But just because the library is closed doesn't mean you can't access library resources!

Local Libraries

Alabama's public libraries are a wealth of information. It is unfortunate that many are closing or limiting services for the foreseeable future due to COVID-19. However, your local library may have additional services that are not listed here. Please use this directory to locate your public library. Give them a call. If they are closed or have limited staff hours (see list of reported changes), visit their website to see what library resources you can access from home.

Your local public library is there for you and your family during this difficult time, either through the resources they offer individually or the resources they offer through the state library agency. If you aren't currently a patron, consider getting a library card when COVID-19 recedes.
